Professor Colvin gave us an introduction to nanoparticles and what it means to be a biomedical engineer. We discussed how different fields of engineering overlap to solve problems like water purification or diseases!
Her post-doc Hyewon Kim then led us through activities in the lab. WE MADE NANOPARTICLES!!! (gold, silver, and rust)
