Day 20: Spira 2015 Final Day

Today was our last day at Spira :((( We had so much fun and learned so much over these four weeks, and we couldn't have done it without the unique, smart, kind and hilarious campers we had-- thanks so much for a great summer guys! We started our day off with a week 4 survey and final evaluation. We came back upstairs and got into two teams for Jeopardy! We had an exciting game testing our knowledge of what we have learned over the course of Spira. It was a pretty close game until the end, with Team Suoicodilaipxecitsiligarfilacrepus coming out on top. We then had a special ceremony to hand out paper plate awards and certificates to campers.

We had a delicious lunch of Bagel Gourmet during which we had a mini panel with coordinators, which consisted of campers asking coordinators about college life, applying to college, stress-aleviation tactics and other random questions about life and experiences. We coordinators were so happy with the questions, and are always glad to give advice or answer questions! We then had a paper plate award and certificate ceremony for the mentors, who we couldn't have had camp without them, and we are so grateful to have such caring, involved, kind and wonderful mentors! We then went downstairs to begin our scavenger hunt. After all the campers had returned from the scavenger hunt (it was a tie!) we went back upstairs and had some cake (baked by the coordinators), brownies (oreo and regular! From Leslie) and banana blondies (also from Leslie). We did some disney karaoke and hung out until it was three. We had our tearful goodbyes, and finally parted ways. This was an amazing summer, and we owe it all to our incredible, enthusiastic, sweet, intelligent and curious campers. We will miss you guys so much! :,( We wish you all the best in your future endeavour and we know you guys will all achieve so much! Thanks so much for an incredible summer. <3
