Spira Day 9: A Day with Dassault!

For our final day in our Electrical/Computer Engineering week, we took the girls on a field trip to visit Dassault Systemes in Johnston, RI. Dassault is a multinational software company with main headquarters located in France and a facility right here in Rhode Island. The girls got to take a tour of the company and hear from an excellent group of female software engineers and computer scientists. We were treated to a variety of activities all geared towards showing the girls how and why the company creates software for simulations. At the end of the day, we got to have an insightful female employee panel for the girls to ask the women of Dassault any questions ranging from how they got into software engineering/computer science to what it's like to be a female working in STEM. The campers left Dassault mesmerized and incredibly excited to see some of the things they can do with engineering in the real world
