Day 14: Solid Work on SolidWorks
Today we started our day in the computer lab, finishing up the Arduino activity we started yesterday and beginning to learn about SolidWorks, the Computer Aided Design software used frequently in many areas of engineering industry. We did a tutorial to orient ourselves in SolidWorks and then went outside for lunch with Artemis. We ate Eastside Pockets and after lunch had some fun doing Veggie-Offs (a western duel style game in which you turn around and have to act like a vegetable that a spectator calls out). We came back inside and worked on projects in SolidWorks. We then did a lottery to decide whose projects in SolidWorks we would print on a 3D printer! We moved into Prince Lab to take a look at the 3D printing room, where we printed some of our campers' designs and learned about how the printers work. Tomorrow we will see how their creations turn out, we are super excited! (Below is a panorama of our beautiful room with the #paperchainz we made yesterday)
