Day 12: Circuit Circus
Today was an awesome day of circuits and tours. We began our day with a "Do Now" question (What do you think would happen if we lost all electricity tomorrow and never got it back?) and discussion in smaller groups. We then broke into smaller groups for a lesson on electricity and circuits, and did a worksheet activity on resistance, voltage, and current. We then worked on breadboarding--creating small circuits that light up an LED light, or do other tasks. We ate a delicious lunch of Chipotle while listening to our head mentor Leslie give a talk about the college search. After lunch and Leslie's talk, we were given a tour by one of Brown's tour guides. He showed us around campus and told us some fun facts about Brown's history. We got back and played two rounds of the Couch game and had a mini college panel with Sophia, Liz, and Bianca answering questions from our students.
