Countdown to Camp: 12 DAYS - Scholarships & Schematics
Hello readers!
Today was another day of planning for the Spira 2014 Team. We reorganized our classroom and finalized our training program for our 6 new Spira Reps. The new Spira Reps (who attended last year's camp) are Afaf, Edith, Sabrina, Colleen, Eliana, and Grace. We are excited to show them all the awesome activities we have planned for camp!
We also worked on one of the programs we used during camp called Scratch. Scratch was developed by MIT to introduce students to programming. Through Scratch, people can code fun programs, like games and movies! We will use Scratch during the third week of camp, which is focused on electrical and computer engineering.
We found a great resource for scholarships as well! The following listed below comes from Engineer Girl, a website dedicated to helping out female students interested in engineering. It's a great resource for not only scholarships, but also biographies of successful female engineers, contests, programs, and clubs. You can also "try on" a career and learn about the different fields of engineering that we will go over at camp.

Isn't Engineer Girl a wonderful resource?
We have 12 days until camp and less than one week until the Meet & Greet! We hope to see you there! Until then, check out the sneak peek of our mechanical engineering curriculum!
