Countdown to Camp: 13 DAYS
Hello!
Welcome to the Spira Engineering Camp blog!
We started this blog so that students, their families, Spira alumni, and anyone interested in engineering can read about Spira's day-to-day operations. We'll post pictures from camp, recap lessons from the day, and talk about the exciting projects students are completing!
So please look out for a new blog post every week day! The Spira Team is currently in Planning Period, finalizing all of the new activities and lessons for this year's camp. Therefore, the Spira blog will feature a Countdown to Camp in which you can read about the activities coordinators are completing in preparation for our students as well as some science and technology news that we found interesting.
We are incredibly excited about camp this year. We have booked some great guest speakers to visit camp and expanded our curriculum. This summer will also feature new units on industrial design and chemical engineering as well as expanded curricula dealing with biomedical and aerospace engineering!
Additionally, the annual Spira Meet & Greet is next week! We sent out information packets to families late last week that contain more details about this great event where students can meet their fellow campers, their coordinators, and Spira mentors!
